On March 12-14, 2018 Accell’s business development team with representatives from the USA, the UK, and Russia all came to Amsterdam, the Netherlands to unite at the main springtime partnering conference in Europe: BIO-Europe Spring 2018. With a focus on European innovation and global collaboration, BIO-Europe Spring brought together life science industry representatives in the most innovative European biopharma sector.

Natalia Nayanova (Accell’s Co-founder and Director of Clinical Operations – Russia), Julia Kondakov (Accell’s Co-founder and Director of Business Development – USA), Lester Powell (Associate Business Development Director – UK), and Olga Nayanova (Business Development Associate – Russia) had an opportunity to meet with existing partners and work on building up effective collaboration strategies and to establish new relationships for further exploration of innovative clinical trial approaches. With numerous presentations and life sciences companies’ pitches, the Accell team members also had a fantastic opportunity to get acquainted with new early-stage projects, learn about innovative startups, and discuss with biotech and midsize pharma companies their unique clinical trial needs and how running studies in Eastern European and CIS countries can be time and cost-wise beneficial in the long run of a complex drug research & development process.

BIO-Europe Spring 2018 Highlights

Aside from intensive collaboration, the BIO-Europe Spring opened many opportunities to explore the latest industry trends and ‘hot’ topics to stay tuned and up-to-date. Key sessions covered such matters as the role of cross-border collaboration in the development of a global biotech industry, next-generation technologies, and funding strategies. Accell’s international team will transfer valuable insights gathered at the event to clinical operations unit to enhance both company’s performance and our clients’ experience resulting in superb clinical trials outcomes.

By and large, attending BIO-Europe Spring 2018 was a positive experience that we are looking forward to repeating again; yet, meanwhile, Accell is starting its preparation for the next upcoming conference that is ASCO 2018 Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL, USA.
